Why Jotmonk exists
A 50-minute lesson is hard to teach and note at the same time. A tutor with ten students in a day forgets things: feedback, follow-ups, what was covered, what the student should do next. Notes go missing.
Yet every student started lessons for a reason, and every lesson should move them toward it. Jotmonk records the lesson in the browser and writes what the tutor and the student each need afterwards: clear notes, tasks for both sides and progress they can both see.

Why a monk
Monks kept records so that knowledge was not lost. In medieval monasteries, copying rooms existed for exactly that purpose. To jot is to write something down quickly.
Jotmonk is the record keeper for the modern lesson. It writes the lesson down, so the tutor does not have to copy it out by hand.
